Who am I and why PapaBlog?

I'm Krzysztof, and I decided to start this blog as a way to motivate myself. I'm a software engineering student in Berlin, and I want to use this space to share notes, research results, new findings, and my general thoughts. I've never done anything like it before, so it will also be a learning journey on how to write.

The important thing is that, even though my professional work mostly relies on AI-assisted development, I wish to stay LLM-free here (with the exception of Grammarly because I want those posts to be actually readable).

The name PapaBlog comes from my personal brand Papa. My friends in Poland call me Dziadek, which means Grandpa. The reason behind it is that I'm the oldest in our friend group, and I like this nickname. I decided to transfer it into my professional life and keep Papa's identity. Hence, my projects are called: PapaBlog, Watchpapa.tv (I'll post about it soon) and my portfolio codepapa.xyz.

Hopefully, I won't abandon this project after a few posts. Hopefully, it will help me to learn. Hopefully, someone will find this interesting and maybe even useful. So let's begin this journey and feel free to jump on it with me.
